Mayu was taken away from me again. I stand in front of the Kureha shrine and walk down the steps where I lost Mayu to the mob of villagers. As I walk down my head started to hurt a little. As I went down my vision became blurry and wasn't sure how to deal with it as the pain kept getting worse as I walk down. I must get my sister back. When I rushed down I received a vision of Mayu being escorted but she was walking freely on her own. The people who attacked us bowed their heads to her like if she was royalty. When the vision stopped, the pain in my head went away. I ran through the village to the Kurosawa residence. I entered the dark house once more. I didn't paid much attention that I tripped a few times. I made it to the room which looked like someone was bounded to many ropes to keep him or her tied up but why would anyone need to be tied up so high? What have they done so bad to be bounded by ropes so high up like that? Could it be the man from my visions? The door that was locked is wide open. When I entered I could hear some sort of moan behind me. I looked behind me and that spirit that I encountered in the great hall that lead out a painful scream started coming my direction. Frightened, I ran into the place I dont know. It's not like I didn't had any other choice. What I thought was part of the Kurosawa house started to become a cave. Screams of the hostile spirit echos though out the cave I couldn't tell if it was coming behind me or in front of me. It's screams sounded like it was all around me like if it was screaming into my ears.
The screams stopped, I ended up in a place that was of big space with lit up candles. I can hear a familiar voice coming from the other side of the candles. "No... turn back! Forget about me!" "Yae... come closer.... it's beginning." "Mio... please, dont come." "wE ProMIsED dIDN't We?" I couldn't make out if the last spoken thing that was said was Mayu or that girl that came after me not that long ago. I came up with the courage to move on. I'm not leaving this village with out my sister! I went down a very long path that lead deeper and deeper into the earth. Mayu was standing in front of what looks like a hole. I ran up to her and held her in my arms. "Mayu! Mayu I finally found you! We have to get out of here!" "Mio... you came... but you shouldn't have." "Mayu, what kind of a sister would I be if I didn't kept our promise." Mayu looked like if she was seeing something terrifying. Without looking, I already knew what was behind us. The spirit with echoing screams came our way. What looks like floating skulls that are most likely it's victims come flying around us from behind him like if it commanded them to do so. "Mio..." "Yes?" "Kill me." "No Mayu I couldn't! I ca-" Mayu held on to my wrists and wrap my hands around her neck. "It's fine. As long as you're alive... I'll be happy and I'll always be with you." "Mayu... I..." "Please... do this for me. There is no time." "Is this really what you want?" "Yes, it's my final wish..." I do not know what came over me. Mayu's final wish was for me to kill her. In order to make these horrible things stop I have to kill my own sister. I had to do it. Mayu is counting on me. I looked into Mayu's eyes and my eyes started to water. I put all strength into my two hands. I could still hear the screaming of the spirit and hollering of the floating heads in my mind but all I could hear are the things Mayu said to me and I could see things of the past... our past... our childhood... and the day our mother first brought us home. As Mayu was experiencing this "life flashing before her eyes" that many people seem to believe before dying I also started to see what she is seeing in her head.
Everything became silent. The spirit and the floating skulls were no where to be scene. Mayu's eyes closed. She fell back into the large hole as I let her go. I felt like if my heart jumped out of my chest and fell into the hole with Mayu. I looked down and a butterfly of a crimson red color came fluttering up to the surface. I looked at it as it hovers in front of me. A familiar voice echoed though my mind "Thank you." Many other butterflies came from the hole that I couldn't tell which one was Mayu. I denied what was happening had to be a dream. I dashed out of the cave. I ran to where I first found Mayu when this nightmare began. Many butterflies flew up to the sky. They all vanished. The sun came up and rest went blank.
