I really liked the new DCB laugh.. It was more.. insane, and very frightenning. That being said however, you put this together very well! Congrats! :D

Nice! Thankyou for sharing.

I have to agree this version seems a lot stronger than the original version. (Save for the Kusabi, his movements seem blocky to me, and I miss his longer hair. As silly as that sounds. XD)

Also moved thread to Official Media section, since this is a unedited cutscene. :)

@Emi: She changed the laughter though. Wouldn't that count as "editing"?

I like both laughs.Although this scene is missing an effect(something like a scene from the past that pops in) from the original cutscenes that i really liked.Nothing THAT great but it made the cutscene more creepy for me.

I dont mean to be a video edit Nazi but... the audio is out of sync by 2 or 3 seconds. I'm sorry, it's force of habit x_x

I dont really miss it actually. WHen I first encountered it in the game I was expecting it to be a little later and not very soon as chapter 3. It was pretty loud I'll admit (with my speakers). I like both equally but I prefer the new one over the old dub and Japanese dub ver. of the laugh.

Japanese audio will always be the best but next to that, the US VOs just seem right.

I don't possess the proverbial nostalgia goggles for the US version of the game, since I only first played it a few years back. And having watched a Japanese walkthrough as well as played DCB, I definitely prefer the Japanese Sae laugh overall.

To me, the US dub was just.. eh. The VAs just didn't try hard enough, in my opinion. I don't know if they were just underpaid and therefore didn't show their full potential, or they were just bad to begin with, but I'm not a big fan of the US voice-work. DCB was an improvement as far as dubs go, since dubbing jobs in general have improved in recent years. And while the accents were definitely out of place, at least Sae's laugh sounded maniacal and believable, rather than a poor impression of a neighing horse.

Seriously, just listen to it. You'll never un-hear it.
