Day 25

What is the best ending song in the series? You sing it when you play, and other random times too! Why?

(Draw it in action! Write about it! Simply tell us! Post a graphic of it in action! Etc!)

I'm gonna go with Kurenai. I LOVE Chou, and I kinda hate that it's (almost) everyone's favourite, just because it almost overshadows the other songs, in my opinion...buuuuut it's probably one of the better songs. Kurenai, though, brings a fresh feeling to the Fatal Frame series, and I love that she recorded a new song for the rerelease. I would love for them to actually rerelease the first one and have Tsuki actually sing for it (I know the producers said that Hakinowa fit it well, and it's almost the unofficial theme song based on the fans' response too, from what I remember of the last forum)

Chou. It was the first one I experienced, and in conjunction with an ending like that, so it obviously had a big effect on me. While I like Kurenai I never grew as fond of it, or thought it fitted properly like Chou did.

You are running to the morning skies
while I am tangled in a better dream.
I'm hiding in the darkness, my red eyes
destroyed by dust. I want to scream.

My dear, you won't believe what I've become.
I scrape the red-stained earth to find the seed
we sowed together when this was our home:
we never knew where our promise would lead.

My wings, my hands are crushed, and you
would never dream I'm searching for you still.
You promised to come back; I thought it true;
I want you to, and know you never will.

You took your promise, never to return,
and I will never flutter, though I burn.

This was the only way I could think of to do something creative with this question. I took the song lyrics and tried to write a poem using only those words. I allowed myself to use plurals/singulars and different verb forms, but even so, it was certainly a challenge! Not sure how much sense it makes, but anyway, this one is from Chou, all about Sae.

I actually think Kurenai is my favourite now, but I totally failed to make a poem out of the lyrics to that, so I just kept this one. :P

Most fitting ending song: Koe

The lyrics are so sad. It fits so well, you can't hate it! All you can do is watching, listening and crying over the beauty of this song.

Sorry for not writing more, have to listen to Koe :3

Koe.  It just becomes so epic towards the end, I really feel like I'm being dragged along with a current.  Awesome vocals, too.

Kurenai. I know I might get fandom's rage over me for this but I've always had hard time remembering Amano's songs, despite them being pretty. Kurenai, however, was a song to immediately get stuck to my memory with one listening and it is also a really good song that feels coherent. In comparisation, I really like NOISE too, but as a song I felt it was too much all over place. Kurenai also fits DCB so well and gave just that right feel after the end of the game. Koe is also pretty, the last minute is really epic and had the whole song been more like that I'd have without doubt had it as my top Amano song for FF.

But I have to admit, I almost chose Torikago simply for that instrumental part, Jesus, when the song started I almost fell on my butt! Too bad I feel the chorus isn't as memorable while Kurenai stuck with me as whole. So Kurenai it is~
