Theory about the characters in the center of the pentagram puzzle in Fatal Frame
At the Cherry Atrium door, entering the Blue Stone, the first character in the center of the pentagram represents the number 5 according to the File "Search Notes"
Moving the stones in the right direction until you insert the last stone and open the door, the following characters are shown in the center every time a stone is moved:
When Blue Stone is inserted, the character representing the number 5 appears in the middle of the staff.
When the first stone is moved, the number 4 appears.
When the second is moved, the number 3 is displayed.
The third time the number 2 appears.
In the fourth one of the number 1.
In the fifth and last time the kanji that represents the "0" appears that also is read like "King" or "ghost" according to Wikipedia.
In short, the characters in the middle indicate how many times you can still move the stones, just like the "more" counter on the right side of the screen. Now according to this same "Search Notes" file, these characters have the same numbers readings but mean something other than numbers. Does anyone know what this "supposedly different meaning" would mean?
