How accurate is the English song?

So, I was looking at the English version of the Zero song in Fatal Frame IV and I was wondering if anyone knew how accurate that version of the song is the original Japanese version.  I know that it was translated by Amano herself, or at least someone at Tecmo/Nintendo as she sings it in English, but from past experiences I've noticed that English versions of Japanese songs don't really stick close to the original lyrics much.

 

So, does anyone know what an English translation of the Japanese lyrics would be if they exist?

the japanese version is different than than the english version but the in the end it creates the same image like in this part

english
"Can I become your hope?
So what should I do?

For how much daylight do I have to wait?"  

japanese 
"How many more nights must I spin
Before I can become the light that illuminates you?"

(IDK if that made sense) 

usually they end up changing the lyrics after being translated so that it will fit to the song better.

Is that wiki trustworthy though?  I know they got a good amount of their articles from the BCL Zero wiki and just pasted them onto there so I don't know how reliable they'd be for accuracy.

 

Their translation for Kurenai seems a little bit random to me and their version of Noise is missing the first verse.

Just a sidenote, but Hikaru Utada, Tsuki Amano is not. When Utada sings the English version of her Kingdom Hearts songs, she sounds like a perfect native English speaker. While Amano sounds like.. she tries, but half the time I don't understand what she sings, even when I have the lyrics next to me.

To be fair, Utada is an English speaker and was born in America.  Amano‚Äôs accent is strong, but at least she tries.  :P

Fair enough, I didn't know that. And yes, she does indeed try despite her accent. Maybe that's why most japanese singers only use few english words, mixed into the japanese text, becuase they know it would sound horrible if they tried to go all-english :P It's just, I am danish, and while I do have a horrible accent if I speak freely, I can do a damn good job hiding it if I read a text or sing.

So I don't know why it is so hard for other countries, then again, danish and english are very similar in many ways, plus I have been exposed to it since I was little so it is practically a second language to me.
