Sacrifice or Remaining?

Would you rather like to be a Sacrifice or Remaining?
I can't relate to FF2 much since I don't have a twin or any siblings however I would definitely pick Sacrifice despite both being awful.
You would save many other people if the Ritual is sucessful and wouldn't have to be the twin that has to suffer for a lifetime.
Being a Remaining would really be awful in my opinion. I would never be able to get over the guilt and even worse would be if the Ritual failed like the Tachibana ritual and the Sacrifice died completely invain
Also other people would certainly be weird around Remanings and shun them.
Remainings also tend to be more rebellious which usually gets them in trouble.
Pretty much like Ryokan says to Yae on his crystal. The Remaining is the one who has to deal with more consequences.

to me the choice is a "lesser of two evils" yes you can sacrifice your twin but then you would be feared and shunned not to mention you have to live with the fact that you killed your twin, or you can be sacrificed and again, you your other half suffers for it and there is the fact most remainings have gone mad with grief or killed themselves
you brought this upon yourself mortal now you learn the way of darkness

I have to be morbid and say Remaining. If my twin was fine with it as most were, we'd be saving the village and becoming one as intended. I could explore Minakami and read into its history, even possibly make things better for other twins down the line. It'd be pretty cool to have the white hair, too.

I'd say Remaining.
It would be awful to kill my own twin, but if she(/he) would be okay with it and want to complete the sacrifice, I'd do it. I'm pretty sure I would hate myself for it, but we saved the whole village so yeah..
And as a Remaining I'd try to find a way to make Utsuro rest in peace, so there would not be more crimson sacrifices and no one else would not have to go through the ritual again. Maybe follow some butterflies along the way.
