Last week I completed Fatal Frame 2 Remake on Wii u which is available now on the JP Wii u eshop.
They didn't change or fix anything (the frame-rate drop when you fight 3 villagers is still here) but what I really liked this time is the ability to use my headset via the Gamepad !!
The sounds in this game are perfect and I didn't notice most of them before. It made the game x10 scarier.
For example, there was a small room which contains a small box only. When I entered the room i heards a woman's voice in my right ear saying " help me " with a creepy fast voice and a young girl's voice in my left ear saying the same thing. They didn't stop until I opened the box.
I know there are more examples because I didn't use the headset all the time.

2- When you select the game it will give you the option to use the TV only to display the game or to use both the TV and the Gamepad. If you select both you will be able to use your headset in the Gamepad.

Living alone and not in an apartment building I have the luck of using my dolby system without the "fear" of bothering a neighbour. Especially because if I play to FF, I do it during the night.
I can assure that sounds like the "help me" one are clearly audible. It surely boosts the experience of playing a game like FF.

Yeah unfortunately it doesn't fix the frame rate. You still get choppy frame rate when you play FF4 in the same areas as you were playing on the Wii. How it works is backwards compatibility features are basically emulators. Only good benefit are faster load times if you have the option.
