I don't agree with people freaking out and making threats against Nintendo, but I do not have any problem with people begging for a physical release. Nintendo of America NEEDS to know people over here have a desire for one. They have a market for these kinds of games if they would just stop assuming they are going to fail. NOA is locked in the mindset that because no one has heard of it then it won't sell well, but then refuse to do anything to actually help it become known. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy, and playing it "safe" to that extent with your business may not cost you as much, but you aren't going to grow that much, either, if at all.
Like I said in another post I absolutely plan to buy this even as an eshop exclusive because I want this series badly over here. I am buying a Wii U purely for this game, but the fact it is being tucked away in the eshop scares me. NOA is making the bare minimal effort to get this out there, and if the sales don't show enough interest (people don't even know it's there) Nintendo can just as easily say "look, nobody really cared about it it last time," and then ignore it all together in the future. They have already ignored the people that were begging for a physical release before Europe's limited edition was announced.
Yeah, the people refusing to buy it for not having a physical release aren't helping the game, but neither NOA is letting it fly under the radar in the eshop. NOA absolutely shares in the blame if it fails over here.
Such order in the midst of chaos makes me woozy and disoriented.
